The advent of the collaborated computer and Internet technology has brought upon the glorious days of eCommerce. Amidst being new and not so common, the rate of how it is adapted by the people is very remarkable. One would lead to question the reasons why it has surpassed the other age-old and time-tested traditional means of doing businesses.
Here are just some of the reasons why eCommerce has become so strong in today’s economy:

What eCommerce did was it was able to do what seemed to be the most impossible feat of all, and that is bridge the very gargantuan gap between big (thus has all the means to spend on marketing), and medium-to-small scale (thus has not enough budget for advertising) enterprises. The online community is very accessible, and not to mention very affordable, means to do advertising. That is why small and medium scale businesses have been able to made themselves known worldwide without spending much on traditional media.

Worldwide Range of Market

If you advertise on the web, there is always a chance for people, from any walk of life, from any country, to view it. Some entrepreneurs would even be surprised to get an order from the other side of the world from a place whose name they can’t even utter or spell properly. eCommerce was able to expand one’s range of customers thus always giving the possibilities of wider coverage of sales.

Unsleeping and Always Accommodating

With the stores that we are used to, we need to keep it open so that customers can be accommodated. Thus, at night, when stores are closed, profit is being lost. However, with eCommerce, online stores can be open, twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week and for the whole year round as long as all connections are stable. The stretching of time has also increased the chances of getting more profit without having to ask people to go on overtime for you. It’s lie earning money while you sleep.

Much Cheaper Expense Rate of Direct Marketing

Marketing is always packaged to address the general public. If you want to be direct, you need to hire people to do the distribution for you. And, of course, that costs a lot. Yet, with eCommerce, direct advertising become much cheaper. In fact, it is very affordable compared to the traditional form of direct marketing. With such price at stake for a very efficient and face-to-face approach of marketing, surely businesses would not have any second thoughts of using online marketing.
