There are really simple things that web designers forget when planning a web design. These things may only be minor but they give a big impact later on in the long run of your website.

Web designing is not an easy task in contrast to some people who thinks that they know HTML, it’s easy to make. In a way, yes, but it won’t be as good or even come close to a professional web design. If you’re doing something, do it with flair, be a professional.

In order to make a useful website, a web designer should think about a visitor’s wants and needs, especially the needs – it is this need that will make your website valuable. A web designer should put him/herself into the shoes of the visitor.

Here are the things you should ponder:

Trends or Web Standard

A web designer should know about trends, people likes to look at trendy designs and will likely spend a minute or two when they find your site interesting. Although, it is not bad to make a web design in your own ideas, you should stick to the things that work. If you’re selling a website, put a unique concept but be sure that the web design you’re making passes the web standards.

Age Statistics

You should also consider the age of your visitors – visitors who are likely to frequent your website. Different people have different tastes; however, what remains true in general is that everyone likes a well organized website. The design should only be for the extra things like images and color but the page elements and information should be clear and easy to find.

Outgoing Link Statistics

The success of your web design would also lie in the outgoing links that you put in. Although you may think that outgoing links are more of search engine optimizations rather than web design, it is rather important in web design. Planning outgoing links lets you know more about your key visitors and what they frequently visit. This information would let you know how much a visitor spend his time on your website, also letting you know which links they are interested in. If so, then you should put those links forward.

It would be easy if you could just purchase a website service but if you’re on budget or is a web developer yourself, just make sure you ponder on these little tips.
